Library Drops respects your privacy. The app is designed to provide short-form content such as facts, educational information, entertainment, humor, and other messages based on the topics you choose.
Library Drops can be used as a Guest without providing your name, email address, Apple account information, or Google account information. You may also choose to sign in to synchronize supported Library Drops data across devices.
Information We Collect
Library Drops may collect and store the following information:
- For Guest users, an anonymous Firebase Authentication identifier used to associate app data with the Guest session
- For signed-in users, account information provided through the sign-in provider, such as email address, display name, user identifier, and authentication provider
- User preferences, including the categories and subcategories you select
- Saved content, including Favorites and notification History
- Basic device and app information used to support notifications and app functionality, such as platform, locale, time zone, notification status, app version, and a device registration identifier
- Purchase and entitlement information needed to determine whether subscriptions or other in-app purchases are active
Guest use does not require you to provide a name, email address, Apple ID, Google account, or other personal sign-in information.
The information available to Library Drops for signed-in users may depend on the information you choose to provide through your sign-in provider.
Guest Access and Sign-In Services
Library Drops uses Firebase Authentication to manage Guest sessions and signed-in accounts.
Guest users are assigned an anonymous Firebase Authentication identifier. This identifier allows Library Drops to associate selections, Favorites, History, notifications, and other supported app data with the Guest session without requiring personal sign-in information.
Depending on the platform, users may also choose to sign in using:
- Sign in with Apple on iOS
- Google Sign-In on Android
If a Guest later chooses to sign in, supported Guest data may be linked or merged with the signed-in Library Drops account so that the user's Library can be retained and synchronized.
Authentication providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and security practices.
How We Use Information
Information collected by Library Drops is used to:
- Maintain your Guest session or signed-in account
- Personalize Drops based on the topics you select
- Save and synchronize selected categories and subcategories
- Save Favorites and notification History
- Retain supported Guest data when you choose to connect it to a signed-in account
- Prepare and manage daily notifications
- Determine subscription and ad-free entitlement status
- Display and manage advertising in accordance with applicable privacy choices
- Maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the app experience
Data Storage
Library Drops uses Firebase services provided by Google, including Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore.
Firebase Authentication is used to manage anonymous Guest sessions and signed-in accounts. Cloud Firestore is used to store profile information, preferences, Favorites, History, and information needed to support app features.
Guest data is associated with an anonymous Firebase identifier rather than requiring a personal name or email address.
Some information may also be stored locally on your device to improve performance, preserve preferences, and support app functionality.
Website Analytics
The Library Drops website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how the website is used and how its pages perform.
Cloudflare Web Analytics may provide aggregated information such as page views, visits, page performance, country, referring website, page path, device type, browser, and operating system.
Cloudflare Web Analytics is designed to provide privacy-focused website analytics. It does not use cookies or local storage to measure website usage and does not fingerprint individual visitors. Cloudflare states that its Web Analytics service does not collect or use visitors' personal data.
Website analytics information is used to understand website traffic, troubleshoot performance issues, and improve the Library Drops website.
Notifications
Library Drops may send one daily notification based on your selected topics. Notifications can be disabled at any time through your device settings.
Information such as your device platform, locale, time zone, notification status, app version, and device registration identifier may be stored to support notification delivery and scheduling.
On platforms where Firebase Cloud Messaging is used, Google may process device registration information required to deliver notifications.
Advertising
Library Drops may display advertisements using Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK.
Depending on your device, region, privacy choices, and applicable law, Google Mobile Ads may process information such as:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate a device's general location
- Device identifiers, including advertising or app-related identifiers when available
- Advertising information, such as advertisements shown to you
- Interactions with advertisements and app features
- Diagnostic information such as crash information
- App and device performance information
Advertising data may be processed by Google and its advertising partners for purposes such as delivering ads, measuring advertising performance, preventing fraud, analytics, and improving advertising services.
Privacy and Advertising Choices
Library Drops uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage privacy choices where required.
Depending on your location and applicable privacy laws, you may be presented with options to consent to certain advertising uses of your data, decline consent, opt out of certain sale or sharing of data, or manage your privacy preferences.
When required for your region, Library Drops provides a "Privacy and Cookie Settings" option within the app's Settings screen so that you can review or change available advertising privacy choices.
Your available privacy choices may vary depending on your country, state, device, and applicable law.
Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
Library Drops may offer optional subscriptions and one-time support purchases. These purchases are available to both Guest users and signed-in users where supported.
On iOS, purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and StoreKit. Apple processes payment information and provides Library Drops with transaction and entitlement information needed to activate or restore purchased features.
On Android, purchases are processed through Google Play and the Google Play Billing system. Google processes payment information and provides Library Drops with purchase and entitlement information needed to activate or manage purchased features.
Library Drops does not receive your full payment card information from Apple or Google Play.
Purchase records may be retained by Apple or Google according to their own policies and legal requirements.
Third-Party Services
Library Drops uses third-party services to provide authentication, data storage, notifications, advertising, privacy controls, purchases, website analytics, and other app or website functionality.
These services may include:
- Firebase Authentication
- Cloud Firestore
- Firebase Cloud Messaging
- Google Sign-In on Android
- Sign in with Apple on iOS
- Google AdMob and Google Mobile Ads
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP)
- Google Play and Google Play Billing on Android

Data Sharing
Library Drops does not directly sell your personal information to data brokers.
Information may be transmitted to or processed by service providers used to operate Library Drops, including authentication, cloud storage, notification, advertising, privacy-management, website analytics, and payment services.
Advertising-related information may be processed or shared by Google and its advertising partners as described above. Where required by applicable law, privacy choices are provided so that you can consent to or opt out of certain advertising-related uses or sharing of data.
Data Retention
Signed-in account information is retained while your Library Drops account remains active or while it is needed to provide the app's features.
Guest information is associated with an anonymous Firebase identifier and may remain stored remotely while the Guest session remains active or while needed to provide app functionality.
When Guest data is merged into an existing signed-in account, a prior anonymous backend record may remain until it is removed through Library Drops maintenance or deletion processes.
Deleting the Library Drops app from your device does not automatically delete remotely stored account or Guest information.
Third-party service providers may retain certain information according to their own retention policies and legal obligations.
Account and Guest Data Deletion
Signed-in users can permanently delete their Library Drops account from within the app by opening Settings and selecting Delete Account.
Guest users can permanently remove the active Guest profile and associated Library Drops data by opening Settings and selecting Delete Guest Data.
Deletion removes the Library Drops profile and associated app data controlled by Library Drops for the selected account or Guest session, including selected topics, Favorites, History, and prepared notification information.
Some information controlled independently by third-party providers, such as Apple App Store or Google Play transaction records, may remain subject to those providers' own retention policies and legal requirements.
Account and Guest data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Your Choices
You can:
- Use Library Drops as a Guest without personal account registration
- Choose to sign in and synchronize supported Library data
- Change your selected topics within the app
- Add or remove Favorites
- Disable notifications through your device settings
- Manage available advertising privacy choices when applicable
- Purchase, restore, or manage supported subscriptions
- Sign out of a signed-in account
- Delete a signed-in account from Settings
- Delete active Guest data from Settings
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when Library Drops adds or changes features, services, or data practices. The latest version will always be available at this page.
